Becoming a Christian

1. Understand that our sin separates us from God.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Romans 3:23

2. Know that salvation is a gift of God, which must be accepted.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is
eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

3. Believe that God raised Jesus from the grave, and claim Him as Lord.
"That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,'

and believe in your heart that God raised him from
the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

The love of God and the salvation of Jesus Christ cannot be bought or earned. It is a gift that must be accepted in faith. Confess your sinfulness, ask God's forgiveness, believe the truth of Jesus' resurrection and claim Him as your Lord and Savior. Salvation and eternal life can be found only through faith in Jesus Christ.
